Kristen and Jared’s Engagement at Trough Creek State Park

Getting to document the love between two people already feels like such a privilege (and is one of our favorite parts of the job!), but there’s something especially sweet about getting to do that with your friends. We’ve known Kristen for years and were so so happy for her when we heard that she and Jared were ready to make things official!

We have a lot in common with Kristen and Jared—they love outdoor adventures and even have 2 beautiful dogs to serve as their adventure buddies, just like us. When she reached out about an engagement session, she knew that she wanted something outdoorsy to fit their personalities. We had a few suggestions from our personal outdoor adventures, but ultimately ended up going with Kristen’s pick in Trough Creek State Park.

Something about outdoorsy photos feels so raw and genuine. Maybe it’s the lasting green of the Hemlock trees or the cold November air. Whatever it is, it was certainly working for these two.
