Lia and Cecil’s Artsy Botanical Garden Wedding

Nestled in the endless ridges of the Allegheny Mountains is a small botanical garden called Rhoneymeade. It was here that Lia and Cecil chose to make the ultimate commitment surrounded by close friends and family. The stunning fall colors were the perfect backdrop to the tables decorated with vintage china and the couple’s personal collection of books. Every part of the setup was a perfectly balanced reflection of each of them–the vintage glassware, the studio set up to showcase Cecil’s artwork, the “Once in a Lifetime” neon sign that lit up the dance floor (a reference to their favorite Talking Heads song).

After the ceremony, we followed the newlyweds as they wandered away from the hustle and bustle of the party tent and through the wildflower garden. It was then that I saw these two really start to let the moment soak in. I imagine that’s the best part of a marriage–the quiet moments that you share away from the crowds and noise of everyday life. I could say so much more about this day, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
